Heyo from Washington
Hey all! I'm 21, 5' 4", looked in the mirror this morning and said, "Huh, so that's what 236 pounds looks like. You know, I don't think I like that." I never really seriously dieted before, so I figure, hey why not start! So, I sat down and made a list of goals like:
Weigh 210 by Oct 31, 2010.
Weigh 190 by Jan 6, 2011.
Weigh 170 by May 5, 2011.
Get 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
Take a multi-vitamin every day (nooooo!).
Work out 50 mins 5 days a week.
Count calories! Oooo scary. And actually keep track of them.
I came across this forum while googling "Does Calorie Counting Actually Work" and hearing you all say YES, pretty much decided me. So, I registered here, set up a Myplate account for an awesome food log (seriously, it had my Oskri quinoa bars) and ate a 384 calorie breakfast.
I think I'm off to a good start!
