Cool An Introduction... hehe

Wellll I guess this is where I say HI to everyone in the 3FC world!
I have been on here for a couple weeks now- mostly looking at the calorie counting pages, but I just wanted to introduce myself!

My names Laura, Im going to be 25 next month ( I feel so old!) I am single with no kids & in my last year of nursing school.
I lost 30lbs last year by cutting out all desserts (obviously have a sweet tooth to say the least!) but during my first year of nursing school, gained it all back... Now I want to lose weight the tried & proven way- eating less & being more active!
Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to where to get involved in more posts that'd be great! I want to be more accountable on here!
Most of the things I've seen so far are just questions to various answers...
Thanks everyone!

Welcome! Good Luck! During the beginning of each month there are usually Daily Weigh-Ins or Goals for the month, where you can sign up. Being accountable each day helps me some!

Good luck with your weight loss! I'm trying to find a group to join too... they have them for 100s and for people trying to loose 100+ lbs etc, but I haven't come across one yet for people in the 200s. Congrats on the 20lbs you've lost so far... if you don't mind me asking, how did you achieve that and how long did it take you?

Well that 252 is my highest weight ever- and thats what I lost before nursing school when I cut out all desserts (except once a week I'd have one) and that took 3 months to loose 40lbs just by doing that. But like I said in school I gained over 20 of that back- so this time around, I started at 237- and that was 2 weeks ago, and I am now 230.6 yay... And this time its by counting calories- I have been working a ton so I havent had time to add in too much exercise, but thats coming next!

That's really great... I'm counting calories too... I think it's been difficult in the past just trying to stick to certain diets or food types but hopefully it will be easier by counting calories... at least there will be a bit of variety.
