I'm new to this, have never been part of a blog before. maybe that is what I need for my new life transformation. I am 46 years old. (the entire year until a few weeks ago I thought I was 47) so happy about that. and I have been thin all of my life. actually too thin, I had my only child at age 27 and weighed only 103 lbs. at 36 I was a healthy 133...then married my wonderful Dutch husband and ballooned to my current 168 to 170 depending on the day. my wieght is all in my stomach and it drives me crazy, I look fat on top and have great legs. my friends who are pair shaped say, Oh how I wish I had you butt and legs, I would trade you for anything....Well, Actually I would trade them because they look good in pictures....****, all they have to do is be sitting down.... so, here I go changing my ways at age 46. I quite smoking 12 days ago and started my diet today. I started today with the Reset 5 day cleanse from Usana.....a couple girls I know did it and they look fabulous, I can do it too. I want people to say I look fabulous!!!!! they do a lot of gym work which will be hard for me since I HATE going to the gym, but then again, how do you change your ways if you don't change Right! so, my first shake this morning was no good. I blended it with Ice to make it cold and smooth, it did not taste good at all. I will have to mend it somehow to get it down. I can't even fathem having another one for lunch, so I'm gonna skip it. I had the oatmeal raisen bar at around 10:00 this morning, that was another bad idea.......heck, I'd rather starve.......I googled the Zone and those bars have the same nutritional facts so maybe I'll try those in stead. anyway, wish me luck. oh, yeah, I have to cook something for dinner tonight even though I won't be eating so I'm going to try out a new low sugar low carb receipt. I'll tell you how that goes tomorrow!

Welcome ... LOL, you made my day. I am 44 had my first at 27 and my last just before I turned 38. I'm trying to get close to where you are now, my mini goal is 184. I started my journey on 6/1. ...I know what you mean about healthy foods, that's how I felt with most of the things that I have fixed for myself to eat. I don't mind any shakes that I have ever tried but I don't like any of the bars I've ever tasted. I cook for my family everyday and can't eat any of what they eat so I know how you feel there too. It's smells so good and I know it taste good, but not good or me. Congratulations on quitting smoking. I kicked that bucket almost 8 years ago, along with alcohol. Now if I could totally kick the snacking bucket, I'd be where I want to be.

I do have to quit for the next couple of months to get this fat roll off of my stomach. right now I am wearing a skirt and it's about to kill me. I hate non fitting clothes. Hey, how do you add that weight loss marker to the site?

I had (so glad I can say that) quite a few jeans that would do me like that. My stomach would be so red when I unbuttoned them and forget sitting down Then I started looping a hair tie/rubberband through the hole and around the button for extra room. wore lots of big shirts. I had on a pair of slacks yesterday that I could never zip (they were given to me) and I wore them to church, so proud of my new eating habits. I am on my way to my mini goal Yay
