Default One more Noobie!

Just found this site while looking for information regarding "The Belly Fat Cure" and I have to say I love it! I have yet to find another site that makes me feel so welcome and at home than this one.

I can sure relate to so much that I've read in the forums and I look forward to learning so much more!

Now, about me...I am single and live in beautiful western North Carolina at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I have two canine kids that keep me on my toes when I'm home and I teach 20 third graders when school's in session. I have two teen daughters of my own, the stories of which belong in a totally different forum!

I currently have about 57 lbs I would like to lose, more if the doctors have their way. I've tried all sorts of diets and know I am a carb junkie, moreso of the salty type than the sweet type. Any help/suggestions/constructive criticism you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kim! Welcome! There's lots of good info here. I joined a daily Weigh In for helped me get 7 Pds. Off. I knew I was going to be accountable each day so it kept me focused! Good Luck!

Hi Kim and welcome,
You have definitely come to the right place. I joined the end of May and I am so glad that I did. I too have joined an accountability forum for daily weigh-ins and daily food and calorie intake. I also joined a challenge which really has me on my toes (except for yesterday) I went on a snacking frenzy. which turned out not to be as bad as I thought. I worked it off. I like you prefer salty over sweet any day. I've learned to set mini goals instead of always looking at the number on the end which is so far away. My ultimate goal right now is 150. I've lost 3.4 lbs since 6/1 which is when I started my new journey. Search the forums and find the threads that fit you and jump in. The support and motivation are great. Again welcome
