I'm new here!

  • I found this forum by accident today. I read a few posts and decided to join.

    I am 33 and work full time. I have a husband and a daughter~she is 2.

I have struggled off and on with my weight my entire adult life. It feels with in hte last year it has gotten out of control as I have never been this overweight.

I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and I followed the diet they gave me to a 'T'. I lost a lot of weight during my pregnancy and after delivering I was 30 pounds lighter than when I became pregnant. I did great with the diet and keeping the weight off until I returned to work. I have a desk job and found myself sitting most of the day and then the weight started creeping up. When I returned to work it was harder for me to keep motivated to follow the diet and exercise like I did when I was pregnant. At this point I am more than 20 pounds heavier than my highest pregnancy weight (5th month).

I think the stress of having a child, working full time and taking care of everyone but myself has caught up to me.

I look forward to finding support and motivation for reaching my weight loss goals.

  • I am still rather new to the site as well. I do find the forums and blogs to be a great motivation.
  • Welcome. Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.
  • Welcome to the group.
Hope this is the first step of a successful and rewarding journey for you.
