reading your story reminded me of how i joined 3fc and just read and read the forum for months until i was ready to start losing weight and fight for my life. so i think you came to the right place and please feel welcome, here you are not alone and there are so many people who can relate to your story.

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/goal-199/ helped me in the beginning, although i thought everyone else can do it but me. turns out i was wrong. i count my calories and take my weight off slowly (a pound a week), but that is the only way for me to learn how to eat normally and not be hungry (and then overeat after a few days).
i'm writing this because i want to tell you: you don't need to lose fast, you just need to start eating healthier and a bit less a day at the time. big plans are just overwhelming.
