Default Losing Weight has got me down

I never had a weight problem until I was 40. Now I'm about 40lbs overweight and hate it. I've tried different things but they all feel like I'm bullying myself, and beating myself up, which just makes me feel worse about myself.

After having tried dieting, it only make me crave food. I want a mental adjustment and a new view, on how to be more kind-hearted to myself and take small steps to approach this problem.

The rest of my life feels completely wonderful...but the weight problem causes me many problems (clothes never fit, can't bend over, knees hurt, etc). The odd thing, is I eat much less than I ever did when I was 30! I never ever had to think about what I ate before.

Bikram Yoga has really helped me mentally... it is also a great workout for your body and naturally helps you gain control of your life through gaining control of your mind... especially when I am feeling any sorts of depression or 'out of sorts' I liek to get back to my classes

It is a heated room yes, but you get used to it after 3 classes, and after that its a journey of amazingness (after you leave class of course =)

Maybe instead of concentrating on food, you could increase exercise, or look at medications(perhaps) that you're taking. Has the weight come on 'overnight' or has it been more gradual, over the last year?

I guess I need more information to feel like I'm offering good advice.
