Been Lurking, Finally Joined
 
Hello all,

I’ve been lurking here since I started my journey in January and decided that I finally needed to join. 3fc is a wonderfully supportive community and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it.

I’ve been obese or at least overweight my entire life. A few years ago I lost a significant amount of weight, and then I went away to college and gained over 60 pounds of it back. Since January I’ve lost almost fifty pounds, and I’m so close to onederland I can taste it. I finally decided to stop lurking because I think that joining 3fc will prevent me from regaining the weight I’ve lost for a second time and motivate me to lose the rest of the weight I need to.

Wow, thanks for the great welcome everybody! I knew I was right to finally quit lurking.

As for my food plan, I guess I'm on what constitutes a low-fat diet. I've limited myself to 10 or fewer grams of saturated fat a day as opposed to the recommended 20, which normally gets me in the realm of 30 or less grams of other kinds of fat as well (30.73,25.16, 11.5, and 31.55 over the past few days just to give you the idea).

What I think has helped me more has been my exercise plan. I do an equal amount of cardio and strength training, which I know has increased my metabolism. Plus, I can move more and better now - something I am infinitely pleased with!
