Happy I found this forum!
My story: I was very sick over a 2 year period and gained a lot of weight due to the meds, lack of activity and extra snacking because I was just so darn depressed over it. I had not had a weight problem before this. I am 5'9. Prior to being sick I floated between 145-150lbs and I ballooned up to 308. As of today, I am 270 and working my way back down now that I am all better!
Prior to being ill, I was a raw vegetarian and I am now eating that way again, strictly. Between that and exercise....since a month ago (not sure exactly what day in April I started, was at the end of the first week), I have lost 35lbs so far! I eat tons of Shirataki w/ veggies, so I am hardly ever hungry and my energy and spirits are increasing every day. My elliptical and treadmill no longer being used as clothes hangers (yay!) and I am on one in the morning, the other at night...and I am also doing an exercise DVD every other day. I'm losing between 1-2 lbs a day steadily so far.
