Default Newbie trying to lose weight

Hello everyone. I am new to this site. My name is Melissa and 25 and is going to be turning 26 in less then 2 weeks. I weigh 180 or so lb not sure because it been a while since i last stepped on a scale. That is what i was the last time i was at the doc. I have gained 40 in the last year. I am partly the blame i know this i admit it that my eatting habits suck, i dont workout like i should, ans then I am having issues with my body also. I am frustrated with buying new cloths and the pants size that I am in. Anyway I am now trying to lose the weight to get back down to a small size and to my pre pregnacy weight. With my depression back it make is so overwhelming.

Hang in there, Lily. Depression is hard, isn't it? Something I learnt a couple of years ago that really helped me, was that depression goes down like a spiral. Just keeps going down down down and you feel worse and worse. BUT. There will come a point, where it starts going up. You start feeling better.
When I get depressed now, I just think this to myself. That I feel **** now, but at some point, I WILL feel better. I hope that helps you.

Good luck with your weightloss journey!

Good luck with everything. We're in the same boat weight wise. I'm about 185 and only 5'1 and I hate it. I was 145 when I got married and thought I was fat then. What I'd give to be that weight again. I never thought 150 would be something I dreamed of! I don't have any kids but I fell into the "if my hubby can eat it and not gain weight so can i" slump. Before I knew it none of my pants will button and half of them won't pull up over my butt. Blarg. But we will prevail. Just have faith, drink lots of water, exercise and eat right. It sounds so easy till you try to do it. LOL But we will!! Best of luck with everything.
