Fresh Meat =]

  • Heya Everyone!

    I came across this site early this morning by accident..(maybe i was just meant to come here!) and decided when i had a chance, to revisit and sign up!

    Im sure glad i did! Ive been reading through a few of the stories, and they are all amazing. I too hope to reach my goal weight, but first i should get to the introduction!

    My names Jackie, im 22, lives in NY with hubby, 5'8..and currently at 230lbs.
    When i started getting super serious about losing weight, it was last summer, and my highest weight ive seen on the scale was at 282lbs. i was ready to get it off!!! So i started eating healthy frozen meals, and exercising. Normally it would be walking for about 30-45 mins at night with hubby, and using the elliptical during the day in my own home. For about another 30-45 mins. The weight came off pretty fast, and steady. i went from 282 down to 245lbs. then our home was actually flooded due to a horrible storm, and i fell off track. Just recently i decided to get back on track.and started out at 259lbs..and am now at 230lbs with in a few weeks. again, ive been eating healthy options, whether frozen or fresh, and am exercising more...walking for 45 mins outdoors some days, and other days using the elliptical for an hour. 30 mins after lunch, and 30 after dinner.
    this tends to be 5 days a week with the elliptical, and then when hubbys home, we go walking if im up for it.if not its just a 5/week type thing.

    I hope to keep losing weight...as im in this for the long haul. Ive been big since i started school id guess. and before that, i was thin as a rail. not sure what made the change, but im hoping to make a new change and set myself straight! Enough about me for now..i hope to make friends who share my struggles, and would be able to help me do this! I know that i could certainly do the same for others along the way =]

  • Hi jackie, you have came to the right place if you are looking for never-ending support. We are all here with you and struggling through the same things. It sounds like if you stick to your diet/exercise, the pounds should (hopefully) come right off again. Just don't stray off the path and that ideal figure will be yours! Keep us updated!

  • A HUGE thanks to all you guys! The warm welcome is great =] I hope to update you guys every so often and let everyone know where im at. Right now a mini-ish type goal is set for 200lbs. Possibly a long term goal will be set for anywhere in the 160-140 range, but im not too worried about that as of yet. Im just going day by day =]
