im new. need to lose 25 pounds.

  • hi all. i just stumbled upon this site. i decided to join simply because i was so amazed at how supportive everyone seems to be.

    a little about me. i am 5'10". i have been an athlete my entire life. i played volleyball, basketball, ran track and did weight lifting. i even played basketball in college and a little intramural football. i am 25, have been out of high school for 10 years and out of college for 5 and have gained a ton of weight. i stepped on the scale today and weighed in at a whopping 220lb. i do not look that large at all. at least i dont think so.

    i think a lot of my weight is muscle since im so solid; there is also a TON of fat. i have a personal trainer that i work out with once a week at my gym. i am working on getting back to being a regular at the gym again. i would love to get down in the 185-195 range.

    You don't look overweight at all in the photo I must say. And since you've done so many sports, it's probably just your food intake you'll have to take note of.

    Anyway, I hope you have a GREAT time here! This forum has really made a difference in my weight loss journey. I'm held accountable here! =)
