Smile Hi from the Beautiful PNW

Good Morning to you all. my name is Sarah from Wa. state. I have been low carbing for a bit over 1 week and have come down about 8 pounds, mostly water...I am in my late 50's with a 5 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. My dauhghter has some emotional problems and my son has shaken baby syndrome and autism. my children are the main reason for losing weight as I want to do so much more with them, not to mention the activity of keeping up with them and having to pant and grunt and groan while chasing my son when he is in 'flight' mode Of course, weight loss would be at an advantage for me also and my hubby.
My main problem right now is setting time for the dreaded exercise. I usually do a walking video for 1 mile. I am also incorporating Fast5 into my plan beginning after dinner tonight.
Anyway, hope to make friends and encourage others along the way.

Sarah

Hi Sarah, welcome to 3FC! You definitely have a busy life, don't you? I'm glad you are here doing this. You have lots to get healthy for! Please feel free to jump in anywhere you like! We have a wonderful 50+ group, plus a Leslie Sansone group (is that the walking video you are doing?).

Hi Sarah, I am so glad you are going to get healthy as it seems you like me have a lot of challenges in life. God Bless you in caring for your children. I know He will help you. I think I'll join the 50+ thingy, didn't know they had one, just finding my way around. for us older folks, it's even harder to get the weight back off, and at 64, it's really hard as I have Rheumtoid ARthithis and Fibromylagia and find it very hard to walk and excercise. God Bless you and I know you will do great!

Willow, Thanks for the kind words. Yes, life gets hectic at times. I am sorry about your RA..What do you take for it? I also have it! Flaxseed oil really helps with swelling and if I am in pain, I make a tea with apple cider vinegar which does wonders for the pain.
God Bless You
Sarah
