Default I'm back (and fatter, dernit)

I was last on the forum last June -- right before I dropped something heavy on my foot and shattered a big toe. Spent several weeks on the couch with foot elevated. Still can't wear my "before" shoes.

I AM now able to walk my dog, and have bought some larger shoes (need orthotics to make them really fit), and am ready to work on losing the 20 or so pounds I gained in the last few months -- and the ones I already needed to lose at that point!

I'm drinking lots of water, cutting back on animal fats (fortunately I love fruits and veggies).... I really do know how to do this weight loss thing, but I know it's gonna be slow. I look forward to the support and encouragement of this wonderful group --- if I had stayed connected I might not have gained so much
Anyway, look forward to chatting with folks.

Welcome back! =)

Dont let yourself get down about gaining. Start anew and fresh and stay positive! The past doesnt matter...the fact that you're here now does! Slow is the way to go and the healthier approach too! You're going to do great!

Im just a tad shorter than you, started around your weight now in October and I have lost 44 lbs nice and slow. I literally feel like I just started...its going by super fast!

Stay string and good luck on your journey!

Default ; )

Thanks! It's hearing "you can do it!" that is so helpful.

I took my dog for three short walks today -- had to ride the golf cart for #4, but still a good day! My beautiful mutt needs to lose some weight too, so we are sharing green beans and carrots : )
