Default Been here years ago and back to do it again

Well the last time I was here was 2003. I lost 75 lbs. I wish I could say that was the end of my story and had been blissfully maintaining ever since. But sadly that is not the case. In the years since then I have gained it all back and about another 30lbs. This last two years I have been at the highest I have ever been including pregancy.

I am here to say that I am starting back on my goals in life. ( I hate the word diet) I am happy to say that my husband is joining me this time. It's frustrating becaue of course he is losing way faster then me. Not to mention he doesn't have near as much to lose as I do. But I actually told him that is was a valentines day present enough for me that after 13 years of marriage he is willing to get up with me every morning and work out.

We are trying to make small changes in our family. My kids are not obese at all. But they have learned some bad habits from us. Like a daily pop habit ect... So we are making small changes. Hubby isn't as great about the eating. He doesn't want a whole lot of diet meals. But I am sneaking stuff in slowly. He is good with the fruit and such. I still let the kids have some junk foods. But there is also lots of fruit for them. Hopefully lots of bike rides and walks this summer when it is nice. Not exactly nice in Illinois right now.

I guess that is about enough of an introduction for now. I look forward to meeting some people on here. Joining some groups and maybe seeing some old faces.

Good luck to everyone this week!

Hi there!

I think it's so great you are back and on the losing weight, gaining health track. You've made the decision and started, and are on your way!

I am a newcomer here and am so grateful for this support. I can feel in my bones (even though I can't feel my bones yet! LOL) that this is the support I need to succeed. Your success in the past is proof! I hope you can focus on that (instead of the backslide). You'll do it again and more so!
