So straight to it... I'm 19, 5"10, and 178 pounds. In October I weighed 200 pounds and finally got tired of being overweight, which I have been my entire life.
I started all on my own doing lots of research and beginning with Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, lost 15 pounds combining it with walking/dieting (not very strictly).
I'm currently doing a number of other fitness dvds and really trying to work on my diet, which is the most difficult for me. (I'm vegetarian)
I'd like to get down to about 130, or whatever weight I feel good about myself at...
I had made a promise to myself that I would be at a good weight by March 10. when one of my good friends returns home from a two year religious thing.
I would love all of your suggestions to help me crack down and lose the weight in this next month! Any links or anything you guys think I should read?
Congrats on your loss so far! A typical rate of loss is about 1-2 lbs a week, give or take, remembering that our bodies don't always follow logic. Even though the scale might not be where you want it to be by March, you can be closer to your goal for sure!
Check out our vegetarian forum and our 20 something forum for lots of good support!
to 3FC's ~ this is a very supportive place; and there are lots of great people here too. Congrats on your progress so far. Look around, read lots, then just jump right in wherever you feel comfortable ...
Drizzt and I are buddies from way back. I've been a science fiction and fantasy junkie since I was in middle school...perhaps I should go dig out the Icewind Dale trilogy and reread some of those....hmm, I wonder where they are...
