Default Soon to be blushing bride looking for support to reach my goal.

Hello everyone!!

My name is Ashley and I'm 25 years old. I live in Chilliwack, BC, Canada and I've just recently started down the road to a new happier and healthier me to go with my new life as a soon to be married woman! I started my weight loss adventure in July 2009 and am still on the road to redemption. I'm looking forward to talking with you ladies and giving and receiving all the support we all need. When I got engaged in April of 2009 I had made a goal for myself that I wanted to lose 100 pounds before my wedding and I've so far lost 78 pounds with a little less than 4 months to go before my wedding. I'm hoping that with the support and friendship of you ladies I will be able to get the help and encouragement I could use to achieve my goal. I look forward to talking to you all soon!
Cheers and good luck on the weight loss road!
Ashley

Wow! You've lost so much weight already. I'm sure you can lose the rest. Persistence is key! Don't let the last 40lbs stress you out. You have so much to be proud of already. Just keep doing what you are doing and you are sure to be successful!

Hi Ashley!
Wow, congrats on all your success so far, you've done great - and best wishes on your upcoming wedding, what an exciting time - I know you'll be successful in your goals and will be a gorgeous bride -the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them. Try the 20 somethings and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals - here comes the bride!,
Lee

aww thanks ladies! Sorry I've been offline for a bit, my mom and dad's computer died so I gave them my laptop on lend and have just gotten it back. My fiance thinks I'm going nuts here but since losing the weight I've been assuming I need to continue to cut my calories BUT according to my last calculations I should only be consuming 1208.66 calories a week in order to lose 2 pounds a week. This seems a little low to me as I've been normally consuming 1400 to 1500 a day. I'm worried that I will plateau and then feel defeated. Is there anyway you ladies could give me some advice on figuring out if this figure is accurate? I would greatly appreciate it

Congratulations on the wedding, and best of luck to you on your journey to the best health!

I'm a newbie to all of this so I don't know about the best calorie counts but I wish you the best of luck and it's really great that you've made so much progress already, it's awesome!

Thanks Nikki if you ever need help with meal planning and good ways to reach a mini goal by your brothers wedding feel free to ask. I have learned so many delicious recipes that help the pounds melt away and before you know it you'll be having to take that bridesmaid dress in for alterations
