Default I'm an A and B student but I get an F in weight loss!!!!

I'm not new to the forums, but I've never officially introduced myself. My name is Haley, 27 from Vermont. I have a 6 year old daughter and I'm a full time college student. This week is finals so my eating is horrible horrible! I don't understand why I can't control myself when I'm stressed, bored, procrastinating etc. I think I pulled a muscle when I was running my last 5k race and every night my back hurts so bad, if I lay down I am in so much pain when I try and get up...and if I exercise, even low impact...20 minutes later and this one part of my back hurts so bad, it's very discouraging. My doctor said to give it a couple more months.....and I am on a thyroid supplement and it doesn't help with energy, weight loss nothing...well that's a bunch of random facts about me! I don't know what the heck to do...oh and I'm about 307lbs. My goal is get to 200 before I graduate college in 2.5 years.

Hi Haley, I think your goal is very reasonable and attainable.

I, too, got straight A's in school, even going back as an adult with 2 young children. I was an overachiever in every area except my own personal weight and health. Go figure!

Sorry to hear about your injury and I hope you recover very soon.

Hey Haley

I'm in the middle of exams too and it's horrible. I always get the munchies while studying. =P

Good luck with your goal and hopefully your pulled muscle gets better. You shouldn't be discouraged, you should be proud of yourself! Your 27, 6 year daughter AND a full time student! Amazing!

carrie77- Thanks! I always put my daughter and my schoolwork before myself and look where that got me lol I'm really bad at time management. I was hoping being on synthroid would help my energy so I could exercise anytime even at night, but it hasn't helped and I've been on it for 7 months but I just went up in dose a little so we'll see lol

LiN- Thanks! Yes exam stress is just awful! When I was smoking I didn't get the munchies this bad cause I'd just smoke.....so naturally in the last 17 months of quitting I've gained 60lbs cause I replaced ciggs with food lol

Onederchic-Thanks so much! You too!

Exams are stressful and having a physical pain is making it worse.

Study well and hope you'll get an 'A' for weight loss as well through determination.

Welcome! I am also 27 and a full time college student.

What are you studying? I am doing a Bachelor of Theology.

This week is definitely stressful. I am taking a break from paper writing right now! I am impressed that you can run 5K!

I am also on a thyroid supplement and it does nothing for energy. Are you tired all the time as well? I wonder if it's a weight thing.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! Please come join us at the 300 group!

SilverShine-Thank you so much!

PinkFlamingo-Hey thanks! I'm going for a Bachelor's in Accounting. Yes I am tired all the time and I hate it. I know a lot of people that got on synthroid and it really helped their energy level....oh well. I went into the 300s forum once before but then stopped for no good reason lol I'll go back...thanks!
