Hi! I have been trying to lose weight for four years now. I have tried pretty much everything, except a support system which I now realize may just be the reason I have not been successful. I am 5' 8" and 195 lbs now. In 2002, when I graduated college, I was 150 lbs. I was considered "tiny" until my Sophomore year of college, when people started commenting on my weight gain. I would like to lose at least 50 lbs of my current weight. Twenty of this has been gained in the last six months! The difficult part for me is the fact that I have been a Type 1 diabetic since the age of 7. I am on an insulin pump, and really noticed my weight gain when I started pump therapy even though my eating habits did not change. I even exercise more now than I used to, but it just keeps piling on. I'm really looking forward to hearing how other people have achieved their goals! Hopefully I'll be able to apply some tips to my life.
