Newbie Noob Noob!

As the screen name suggests I love Mangos and I am 30, although, given the chance, I could probably consume 30 mangos in a sitting, so that applies also.

I am a single mom, clinical administrator, student in a new nutrition program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (which was just given Uni approval to become and BS program!), and I am obese. I've been as heavy as 260 lbs and as small as 158 lbs in my adult life (all within the last three years). I am very interested in fitness, sports medicine and nutrition and am on a path to finally realizing my dreams of being thin (again) for longer then one morning...lol.

My goals are simple. Exercise more, eat less and better and lose pounds (or kilos, depending on where you are reading this from). I have set a goal of 115 lbs, that is my ultimate goal, for my BMI, but I may never realize it and I'm fine with that as long as I get healthy.

I'm looking forward to meeting people on the board and cheering you along, and hopefully when I hit the inevitable wall someone will be there to help me over it.

Hi! Welcome!
Ideally, according to all those tables, I'm supposed to be like 90lbs for my height but that is impossible. I am latina and I have curves. There is no way I will ever be 90lbs. Besides, I think I would look sick anyways. As long as you make it to a weight that you feel is your best, stick to that!

Good luck with your goals. :)

Thanks for all the welcomes! Lynn, I know what you mean about appreciating the curves, I love my bootay so I'll stop losing the minute it starts to disappear. I have a very thin sister who has no rear end, what the heck does she shake when she dances? Nothing, she can't dance! LOL! And I love dancing so I'm keeping my butt!
