Default Back again....

I think this is the 3rd time in the past year and a half I've "re-started" a diet plan. It has never lasted very long. Life and lack of funds keep getting in the way. But... I'm back and motivated. I'm ready to kick butt!

I'm starting South Beach on Monday, September 28th (1 week from today). I already have my meal plan for the first 2 weeks and my grocery list for the first week. I'll do the shopping on Sunday so I'm ready for Monday.

Finances are really tight. I've had to go to the food shelf once a month for the past few months... but I just realized if I have money to smoke, money to buy dvds... I have money to spend on groceries.

So I'm definitely going into this with a different outlook. Discipline is NOT a bad thing. Anything worth having is worth working for, sacrificing for.

This weekend I will be stepping on the scale and LOOKING at it... which I haven't done in 3 years. I'm guessing I'm about 300ish, size 24, 5'3. Since I was 245 in a size 20.

I'm ready. Let's do this!

October's menu isn't great health wise, but some months it's a real steal! We spent 52 dollars last month and our freezer is STOCKED! If your family goes through fruits and veggies relatively quickly look into getting that box. It will save you money.

The cons to it are that they aren't the lowest fat meats, always on the bone. I just made moroccan chicken today and had to cut all the lean chicken meat off of the bone and separate it from the skin and fat. Inconvenient, but worth it, IMO, for the savings. Also, as I said before, some months just aren't worth it (it seems like everything for October is breaded).

Good luck to you...again!
