Talking Up, then down, now up again :)

Hello! Another new person - my name is Emily and I live in Texas. I'm a social worker and have lived in the Austin area for about 8 years.

In 2001 I reached my highest weight of 312 pounds. Over the course of about 5 or 6 years, I got down to about 145 pounds and stayed there for a long while. Well, since January I have creeped back up in my weight and am now at 177 pounds. So I am getting back on track starting today.

I admit I feel discouraged and a bit upset I have gotten so off base, but I am trying to remain optimistic and recognize that if I had the ability to get from 312 to 145 I can get from 177 down to 150. 150 is my current goal, when I reach that I will rethink and see if I want to get down lower. But I truly think I would be happy at 150, I'm a naturally curvy girl.

I'm sure some of you on this forum can relate to my situation!

Anyway, wanted to introduce myself and offer my support as someone who used to be over 300 pounds and also gain support from others to help me back on my way.
