Hello all!
Before I joined I read many posts and thought this would be a great tool to use as I start my diet.
I'm 25, 5'7 and 154lbs. I am hoping to get down to 129lbs, which I have never been at.
Just a quick history of my ups and downs:
I was a skinny kid until I hit puberty. For some reason I looked like I had gained "baby-fat" as soon as I hit 13. It was kind of an issue for me at that time, especially being a teenager and not able to wear the skinny jeans or bikinis to the beach (I grew up in FL). When I was 16 we found out I had thyroid issues and after being put on medication I got down to a weight I was comfy with by the time prom/graduation came around. I was down to about 132.
I stopped having thyroid problems at about 21. I continue to go to the doctor every couple years for tests, but all is normal.
My highest weight was 165 which was about 2006. This and the next two years were very hard for me. I was always depressed. I was 23 and only wore baggy jeans and T-shirts. My relationship at the time fell apart mostly from my depression. By late 2007 I had slowly worked down to 135 and felt great. In the last eight months I have been in a great relationship, but I have also been out of work for about a year (lay-off). Combined with stress and binge eating I am at a weight now where I don't feel comfortable with my body and don't want to let myself get any heavier. Plus my blood-pressure has gotten kind of high.
Also, I have never felt comfortable in a bikini and would like to be able to wear one while I am still in my 20s, lol.
Well, thanks for listening everyone. I look forward to meeting many of you and wish everyone luck on their own weight-loss goals.
