S/C/G: 170/170/125

Height: 5'3''

Default Fit@50

Well, that's my goal...to be fit in my 50's, 60's, etc...

I lived overseas where I rarely had processed food because I had a wonderful cook helping me. I was working out regularly and had a nice job. But when we relocated to the US we had to downsize our household, hence no help with my meals. I also started working 18 months after we moved here. In short I gained 40 pounds in 4 years. I turned 50 last April and I am getting really worried that I'll gain more weight if I don't return to my old healthy habits for eating right and working out.

I will workout and be mindful of what I eat starting today! I am 50 years old, 5'3" and plan to get to 125 in 10 months.

Is this a realistic goal? I hope so. I'll only find out if I follow through and I hope I can get support from anyone out there.

Thanks!

Yes, it is a realistic goal. And, I'm here to tell you that you absolutely CAN lose weight at age 50

I'm 52 and 5' 3" and I know you can do it. I've lost over 35# and kept it off the last year. I'm in the best shape of my life. I don't eat processed foods. I eat tons of veggies, fruits, whole grains, nuts and lean protein. I don't always enjoy the food prep but it's worth it and I love what I eat. Go for it!

Hi 4thflor and

I'm 51 and feeling better than ever. You can totally do this. Lost most of the weight on my own, but am following South Beach which I'm really liking because of the emphasis on eating healthier.

Best Wishes!
