been dieting forever
Hi all,
I thought it would be nice to introduce myself, long time reader but never registered til now. I have been dieting for what seems like forever, at least a decade now and I can say I have tried every bad crash diet out there. About four years ago at the weight of 280lbs I gave up with diets and started just adding more and more fresh foods to my meals and snacks.
I have had my ups and downs but this month I have hit the 100 lbs mark, weighin in at 179 lbs and I am determined to hit my goal of the 150s.
The hardest thing was to stop thinking I was going to lose it all overnight, that there was some quick fix. Overtime I learned that there is nothing wrong with going out to eat, nothing wrong with being relaxed with calorie counting and taking the knowledge I know of "how many calories are in this, and that" and just live my life including lots of healthy fresh produce as snacks, hearty breakfasts and less "junk".
Its been a long journey and I have so much ahead of me and need the support now than ever to put those yo-yoing habits in the past and keep my eye on the prize.
