Wink New fat chick!!!! Let's chat!

Hello ladies!! New to the site but not the "Diet game". Looking for support, people to chat with and some awesome friends! I am kind of fed up with this whole lifestyle change right now. While my husband was deployed last year i lost 50lbs. He has been home 8 months and I have managed to gain back 30lbs! EEKKKK!! I'm so mad at myself but at the same time my life has changed. While he was gone it was just me and the kids and I didn't have that extra person to answer to and take care of. Now all the spare time I had sitting around waiting for phone calls, instant messages and emails are taken up with spending actual time with him.Which in NO WAY am I complaining!! I can't seem to find that balance now to work in my exercises and let's not even talk about the diet part! My basic routine was getting up with the kids a morning walk, daily errands,an evening walk and after I got them all to bed while waiting for my husband online I would do a tae bo video. As far as diet goes I was on a 1200 calorie menu consisting of fruits and veggies lots of salads and lean protein and the occasional weight watchers meals. The dieting part really isn't that hard for me but making the time for the exercising is just so freakin' difficult! I would ask my husband to go with me but he just had surgery on his foot and is in a cast for a few months. I should probably take advantage of his down time and make him watch the kids while I go to the gym or something but then I ultimately feel guilty for leaving him "handicapped" and dealing with the 4 kids. He doesn't exactly make me feel welcome when I come home either telling me how difficult it was for him while I was gone for that whole hour.... So instead of listening to his mouth I just sit here. What's a girl to do? His idea of support is totally different than mine and even when I sit down and talk to him about the ways I need to be supported he says he will do it but then turns around and does the same thing he's been doing all along! HELP!! What do you do about a hard headed husband?!?!

Hi Momof4under4! Wow, I feel like I have my hands full with 1. Are any of them twins? I joined this site a few months ago, but I just started using the account. I am looking for a weight loss buddy so we can help each other stay motivated. My weight was pregnancy weight on top of being over weight when I got pregnant. My son is 21 months old.

It is harder when DH is around. My DH is a PA student, and since DS was born, he's not around. He's gone by 5 am and home around 7 ish. Now that he's on rotations his schedule is less predictable and when he is around, I struggle not to gain weight! Actually I was 173 (down from 216) , but gained back 20 lbs then lost some...and here I am at 181. I find it very hard to find time to exercise, mainly because my DS is closer to me than my shadow, and I can't find the time to do anything alone. I have to shower before he wakes up or else I can forget showering for the day! I also work on the weekends, which usually throws me off.

My DH is supportive with words, but that's it. He's usually not around, but sometimes he does get vacations from rotations, or has a day off here and there. He'll encourage me to eat healthy while he's eating a pizza, and to exercise while he's watching TV! He's very positive, he'll tell me I look so good and to keep up the good work...he just doesn't want to follow the same lifestyle. And DH is very over weight, well, obese, by about 90 lbs. From what I hear from most wives, it is harder to stay on track when the husbands are home.

Anyway if you are looking for some support, I'm here! We can do this together!
