Welcome and good luck ! Do you have a diet and exercise plan in mind ? There are many diets to follow, pick one that you will stick with, It is OK to experiment until you find the right one for you. Weight Watchers is very popular as well as South Beach, Atkins has it's follower as well as Fat Smash. I find counting calories works best for me. Check around on the various forums and see what sounds best for you.
Check out the different forums - there is one for each type of plan. Like Bargoo, I'm a calorie counter. Surf around until you find a plan that looks like a good fit for you. If it doesn't work, come back and try another one.
Most folk around here have found that it just takes some trial and error to find the perfect plan.
Hey Claire! Welcome! First determine what is best for you and go from there. I'm a Weight Watcher myself and there are WW forums. Calorie Counters have some forums. South Beach has forums, Atkins, etc. Tell us a little bit about yourself, maybe we can also help you find what's right!
Hi I'm Ila. I'm new to this board as well. For me, I analyze everything so it wasn't about what diet do I need to use but, what about my diet do I need to change. Is it quality? quantity? both? too many snacks? too many carbs? too much sugar? For me, it was/is all of the above. So, I don't follow any particular diet. I'm trying to make what I already know work for me and avoid the foods that I have issues with. Because ultimately whatever you choose to do you'll need to live with for the rest of your life if you want to maintain.

I am going to be posting a 4 week challenge for everyone next week. I will be creating a full 4 week meal plan for every one to follow, as well as a full shopping list of actual/normal foods you can easily find in the grocery store. I will also be posting an exercise shedule. The point of this challenge is not only to lose weight for yourself, but to see how much weight we can all lose together. I am trying to make this as easy to follow as pie, because I know how hard it is to find meal plans and 100% support. I will keep everyone posted.
