Here's To Us!

  • Hello! I'm from Texas and just like everyone else I'm battling with my weight, and have been for years. I am 22 and just recently found my true soul mate. As we talk about future plans of honeymoons and places we'd like to visit, I'm constantly thinking about my weight. I’m 159lbs right now, and would love to be 130lbs. We have so much planned this summer; fishing, bikinis, lake houses, and yet all I can picture is how fat I look in a bikini. How I want more than ever to be fit and feel like the sexy woman that I am. So if you're asking me why I want to do this or whom I'm doing this for ... I must say for myself and my future husband. I don't want my weight to hinder all our plans together, but yet it’s hard. I try not to compare myself to other woman, but fail miserably. So I'm hoping that y’all will join me on my journey to a new me ... the me I've always wanted to be. "Here's to all of us!"
  • I heard you!!!
I just started dating this guy and we are planning to do tons of things this summer... And he brings me to wonderful places, including nice restaurants... and he always order deserts
More than ever I need to learn how to control myself...
Here is the time to proof I really changed... Let’s do this together! Let’s keep in touch and exchange our experiences. This will probably help us to keep on track.
I’ll be thinking of you whenever I refuse the next desert to our next dinner.
    We can do it!!!!
  • Welcome to the community!
  • I know exactly what you mean! He always wants to eat out!! LOL! I weigh myself every Sunday morning and am taking in about 1000-1200 calories a day and exercising as often as I can ... but "some" isn't going to cut it. I will be praying that God will give us strength! You know self-control is one of the fruits of the spirit! I am happy that you found the right guy! Congratts and best of luck to the both of you. I will weigh in and let you know if I lost anything. A healthy weight loss on average is 2lbs a week. I don't want to do a crash diet. I want a lifestyle change. So let’s do it!!
  • I weight on Fridays. I do that because I know I’ll be bad during the weekend... and then I’ll have the whole week to work on fixing things. There is no way I can keep OP going out with him...
We just met and I don’t want he thinks I have a problem. I have to act like I am normal (Am I?).
Yesterday, for example, he wanna go to a pizza place. I could not go there and just order a salad!
I ordered the “best” pizza possible and eat just a little bit (but still it is off my plan). And he made me to bring the leftover home
As I am close to my goal, for a while I’ll be happy if I just don’t gain weight (specially at this beginning of my relationhsip). But I’ll keep you posted.
    God help us! LOL
  • Oh goodness. I would be honest with him ... you will be very surprised how understanding men can be ... if he's the one. If not then he will judge you and think you're crazy. Maybe when y'all become closer and you feel more comfortable with each other. I'm just kind of out there so nothing bothers me. My man and I have a very close relationship and we support each other in everything. I've learned over the years that men really want to please their spouse/lover. He probably thinks you like going out to eat. He is totally clueless and if you don't tell him then this is going to keep going on and you're going to be stuck in that awkward position. If you tell him he will start to suggest other places. You can do it! Just give him a chance ... he might surprise you I bet he's doing it to impress you Just some relationship advice lol.
  • Thankyou!!
