Hello all!
I'm new here, and I've really lost my way lately...but I'm serious about getting back on track!! I want to lose weight and get healthier and feel good again!!
Here's the short version of my story...lol...I was always thin, ate what I wanted, never gained an ounce...up until my early 20's when I had my daughter (who is now 16). I gained 80+ lbs. during pregnancy, and continued to gain in the years after. I went from weighing 140 to a high of 280. About 5 years ago, I finally hit bottom with developing type 2 diabetes...and I knew it was time for a drastic change. I lost 130 lbs. with the Atkins diet. The diabetes was gone, and things were great. All was well until I went through some serious personal stuff, including the breakup of a 10 year relationship. So I started eating and stopped exercising. I lost all motivation to take care of myself, and started gaining weight. Once I saw the scale go over 200...I panicked, and I know I need to do something now, or I'll end up like I was before, or worse. Things are so much better now in my personal life, and I'm ready to take control and do this!!
