Default I gain, I lose, I gain, I lose...the never ending battle

Hi all! So I used this site years ago when I was trying to lose weight and found it very helpful. I lost over 50 lbs and kept it off for a few years, but now I've gained most of it back and know exactly why. After a series of personal tragedies over the past 6 months I've been overeating and not excercising at all.
I had a wake up call when I got on the scale last week though. I hadn't realized how much weight I had gained. Though I should have known when I got down to only 2 pairs of pants fitting me. And since I donated all of my larger clothes back when I lost the weight because I swore I would never be that big again, it's been interesting squeezing into things. I hope with the support of everyone here I can lose the weight again and keep it off permanently. I also hope to make some new friends here.

Hi angel! You are so right...it is a never-ending battle, and that's the best way to look at it, because as you know, once you lose the weight, you have to keep it off. That's why it takes a complete lifestyle change and not just a "diet." I am very sorry about your personal tragedies and I do hope things are better for you now. You've lost the weight once and you'll be able to do it again, so welcome back and good luck!

Hello! I am in the same boat, I just returned to 3FC. I went back and read some of my old posts and it made me feel shameful. I really could not believe that I was back where I started years ago. Then I made the decision not to dwell on the past mistakes I have made, and to start focusing on getting me healthy. I too went through a major tragedy recently (four months ago) and started eating poorly, stopped being active, and pretty much removed myself from my "old life." I hope you find the support you need here, and I'm more than excited to be part of that! Talk soon .

Default gaining and losing

Hi there
I am with you sister, this is my first time on this site. I have lost so much weight over the years, and then regain it back after some type of crisis either medical or personal, I turn to over eating foods everytime and back comes the weight. I am now on the Sonoma diet I started Easter Monday, I am terrified to step on the scales, but my blue jeans are too tight to wear. So once I can wear them comfortably I will check my actually weight. I have certainly blossomed. I think I have set my goal to high, I want to lose 100 lbs, I am guessing I am about 270 llbs. I am 5 11 , so I can carry more weight than the average bear, but my lower back discs are screaming at me to lose. So hear I ago again hopefully with the help of this site I can keep it off.

I'm new to this site as well. A couple of years ago, I lost 30 lbs from running and walking. I thought I was cute and didn't need to workout or watch what I ate afterwards. So I went back to my normal routine and bam, here I am. I gained the weight back. I lost about 26 lbs, watching what I eat, and doing Turbo Jam every day. So now I'm still battling with my weight, and I still have another 20 lbs to go. I have realized that it's a hard battle that we must endure every day
