Welcome!

There are lots of things to motivate for exercise: how good you'll look and feel when you're journey is done, how good you'll look and feel while you're taking your journey just because you'll be doing something about the weight and how great it will be to be able to move with more strength.

But, I hate to say it, if there is nothing you find really that motivating (and I think that can change day to day), sometimes you just have to force yourself to do it.

I did not want to walk today. But I did. For 40 minutes. I still don't feel like I did as much as I could, but I'm thinking that at least I did something. I'm not sure anyone feels motivated all the time.

Koyal,
You have lost four pounds already. YOU go girl, what a great start. You took the first and most important step. One step at a time and you are certainly stepping in the right direction.
Start out trying small and then build up, that's what I am doing. I could not walk far, so first it was to the corner and now it is the block. Wooooha! If not walking, there is swimming that is great for all of you and then there is dancing. Lot's of choices out there, but whatever you do one step at a time. We are all in this thing together.
If you like visit us at the positive uplifting thread over in the 300 forum. I know, I know you are not 300, but there are some really motivating and loving ladies there that will help to push you on and cheer for you and help to keep you going strong. Hope too see or hear from you again.

Hi Koyal, welcome! I am not naturally enthused by exercise. I pretty much have to just make the decision to do it. What has really helped me and kept me accountable is joining the April Exercise Challenge found under "Chicks Up for a Challenge" on this page: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=159. You are certainly welcome to join in! I post in it every day, just so I will make sure I am keeping up with my exercise. To get started in exercise, the easiest thing to do is simply to walk. It is very healthy for you and really does make a difference. Good luck in your efforts! You can do it!
