Talking New

So after a year and gaining back the 15 pounds I lost and another 20 something that tagged along, I'm finally getting back into the swing of things.

Most people call me lolly

I'm almost 21, 5'8" and was 213 pounds, my goal weight is 150 which I'm hoping to hit by the end of this year if possible.

In the last 2 weeks I've lost about 4 pounds.

I've been eating around 1500-1600 calories per day and drinking around 128 ounces of water.

I've been going to the gym somewhat regularly doing a little cardio, some weights, and swimming. I just started going to a turbo kickboxing class they have at the gym today and will be going it saturday and sunday mornings.

I recently skimmed over the 3 fat chicks book and decided I'd take a look at the forums.

Any advice you guys have is welcome (and probably needed! LOL)

Thanks, I really am trying, sometimes the motivation is just not there. Or, in my case the money is not there, lol, healthy foods can get expensive!

Thumbs up

First of all congrats on having a realistic goal. You have a wonderful plan going it sounds like. I know, as I'm sure we all do, just how very hard it is to eat healthy. Sometimes I have to cut corners. I eat as healthy as I can and take vitamins. Sometimes your plan just needs to be shaken up a bit. Your body can get in a rut. Switch up the diet. It already sounds like you're on the ball trying a new class at your gym. I often take walks and do interval spurts. I will walk really fast for a minute to minute and a half and slow down for 30 seconds. And where did I learn that? A Kathy Smith video. I love her. Never underestimate the value of a good at home workout where you can let it all out and not worry about anyone around you looking. I know I did that alot. Anyway, each day is the beginning of a new journey. You sound like you are on a very positive path.
