Hi there~

  • Hi everyone!
Umm, i'm not rly sure how to introduce myself; i've never been good with these things..
    well, I'm ashley, and i'm 17.
ive been struggling with my weight my whole life. xD
I've always been a overweight, but its funny. I never eat junk food; and i barely ever eat. im never hungry. lol.
Buttt, i've been trying my hardest to try to become healthier before I start college. I've been cutting out all of my unintentional laziness and whatnot; and I lost 15 lbs already.
anyway, I joined this forum, so I'd have a constant source of motivation. I mean, i've done this before, but id always give up. :/
so anywayyy. Nice to meet everyone here!

  • Hi there, KATX . . . . . . glad to meet you.

Sometimes, we actually eat more than we think we do -- or, at least, make some poor food choices that do nothing to nourish our bodies and give us the strength to lose weight. It is also very possible to eat too little and this can force your body to try to hang onto every little calorie it can get.

Not saying this is what is happening with your case . . . but how about giving us a sample of your daily eating and maybe we can help you tweak things into action a little better.

Look forward to hearing more from you soon . . . . . . and congratulations on the loss so far.

  • well,I usually start the day with a glass of whole milk; mostly out of habit. and I abhor skim milk. Dx tastes like water.
umm, for lunch, I sometimes pack a turkey sandwich [I <3 turkey], and I hate mayonnaise, so its plain except for some lettuce
if its not sold out, i'll buy a snapple @_@
for dinner.. it usually varies from day to day xD

    But its wierd o.o
I only eat when im supposed to; I can not eat for like a day straight and not feel hungry. but if I eat a whole bucket of hamburgers, I dont feel full.
No one I know has this problem Dx
  • Hi Ashley, welcome! It sounds like your insulin levels may be out of whack because of not eating regularly. So be sure to eat every few hours with meals and snacks (all healthy, of course). You need to make sure you don't take in too few calories because your metabolism will slow down to match your intake if you do. Anyway, you can learn all about healthy eating here, plus get lots of support! Great job on the weight lost so far! And good luck!
