Hi everyone!
I've been on here for about a month now but I haven't had the courage to write anything yet. Today I decided that I should so here it goes!
My name is Lauren and I'm 21 (turning 22 on April 7th woo!). I'm a senior at the University of Michigan and will soon be moving to Seattle for an internship in May.
I've been overweight my entire life and once I reached 181 lbs I decided I was finally ready to do something about it. The forum and blogs at 3fc have been extremely motivational and have helped me to lose 7 pounds so far!
My problem doesn't lie in just exercise or food. It's both. I hate exercising, but I love food. I've been trying really hard to exercise more and I've made a goal to run in the Furry 5K in June so I've started preparing for that. so far, I can run 2 miles without stopping which I've never been able to do before. So I'm very excited!
Finally, I have a question to ask you all. I am wondering if any of you have an electronic calorie counter (ya know the ones you can put around your arms or in your pocket or something). I've been thinking I'd like to buy one but I'm looking to buy a cheap one (I can't afford anything fancy!) but am not sure if a cheap one even exists! Also, if you do have one, do they help you? Is it worth getting one? These are just some questions I've been wondering
Anyway, I wish you all luck in your weight loss goals and I hope to post more on the forum in the future

If you're in college and looking for a buddy to chat with about weight, I'd be more than happy to talk! I know it helps if you have someone to talk to who is going through the same thing!
