Lightbulb Hi Sisters! The inner me wants out!

I'm 57, retired, and cooling my heels in Gruene Texas due to 2 tires blowing out on the trailer, doing lots of damage! We were leaving the next day for Canada, (eh) so I feel very lucky it didn't happen on I 35. Whew, I'm alive! The thing is... I want to live more fully. My weight is impacting on my self-esteem and confidence, and more importantly on my health. Instead of eating when I'm bored or anxious, I'm hoping to turn to 3fatchicks for motivation, support, and understanding. I've never used the computer to join a group before, and I was thrilled when google found this! What is the best way to get started here? An aside for Texans, Yay!! It's finally raining!!!

Welcome, I'm pretty new too. I have just incorporated exercise into my routine and I find it is so motivational to come here first and look at people's before and after (WOW) photos. It just gives me the right mentality - I know I'm not alone and I can do it!

. . . it's a very big site so have a good look around and then just jump right in and start posting when something catches your eye.

we have forums by diet plan; forums by age group (hope to see you over in the Age 50+ Forum in the Support Groups area); forums by amount of weight you hope to drop -- hey just about everything is covered around here somewhere.

Good luck getting things fixed on your trailer and getting back on the road. Take it from one who knows, though; it's still pretty cold and wintery up here in Crazy Canuk land.

Hi Meowee! Thanks for that reply earlier this month. I was on the way back to Peterborough Ontario from Texas, so no internet for awhile. Hope you are on track, and today is another start for me. I had trouble eating right or exercising on the road. I'm ready for a fresh start, and spring is here... sort of... it IS Canada. Joan

Hi dcat! Thanks for the reply to my first post!! I got to see the rain come to hill country before I left Texas. I hope everything is nice and green by now! No more excuses.. I'm back in Canada and ready to start losing. Good luck and healthy living to you, Joan
