Talking Hello everyone. I am a newbie!

Just wanted to say hello and tell you a bit about myself.

My name is Lori and I am 31. I have a wonderful baby boy wo is 16 months old. I live in Maryland, and I am able to be a SAHM.

I guess once I reached my heaviest weight, it was after the birth of my son. When I delivered him I was somewhere about 255 or so. Then I went down to about 219 and stayed there for a bit. I got careless b/c I had a VERY colicky baby who screamed all.of.the.time. so the only time I could eat (not in peace either) would be on the way home from grocery shopping. Which = failure. I would stop by a local fast food place, to the point where I felt addicted. That is all I thought about. How could I plan my trip around lunch. Not a nice place to be. Anyhow (sorry getting long winded) I finally found a used SBD book online and got it.

Initially I lost about 35 lbs and got down to 195 (I haven't been there for ohhh about 5 years) So it was nice. 15 lbs were in the 1st 2 weeks. I went from a 2-3XL shirt to a XL in just.2.weeks! Wow. I was hooked.

I did phase 1 for about 4 weeks (I only cheated like 2 times. Even that was like 2 bites of this heavly Hungarian bread, and like a side dish of corn as a veggies. So anyways FF to about oh say Christmas time.

I was baking cookies for the 1st time in years. I made all kinds, every week. Then my DH and I decided to TTC and I got pregnant the 1st try. I was already back up to 205-06 lbs. Then I made it to 8 weeks to discover I was having a blighted ovum and needed a D&C. So we did that and I confort ate for a weeks or so. and now I am back to being commited! So I am down to 204 from 209 last Saturday.

Sorry I totally wrote a book but just wanted to hsare. I hope to meet some new friends and hope I can be a motivation for other. Now I need to start using my brand new tread mill to lose all of the extra baggae that having a child and doing SBD has left me (LOL it ain't pretty)

Hi Lori.

Welcome to 3FC. It is a great place to get (and give) support. Have a good browse around the different areas, there is always something of interest to be found, and plenty of fun stuff as well.
Good luck on the weight loss, looks like you're doing great already!

And if you ever need to write another book to get something off your chest, there are be plenty of us who have done the same, so you go, girl!

Thanks Carla. Question, now I am usually pretty good at forums etc, but how are you adding a ticker to your profile. I only see an profile picture place, I don't see an option for signature etc. I am confused.

You have to be a member for at least 20 days and have made 20 or more posts; then you will be able to add a ticker.

We've add trouble in the past with new members only signing up so they couyld post links in their signature area which is where the weight tickers reside.

Anyway, and hang in there and the time will pass very quickly.

Hey there! We are at the same weight currently. Would you like to buddy up, exchange ideas and go from there? I do work part-time and have several years of age on you, but hopefully we could learn from each other!

Hey there Sandy! Your blog for today sounds like something I'd say! I laughed so hard while reading it(the latter part that is). I too have been looking into that Pilates chair that I saw the infomercial on. Let me know how it works out for ya! BTW, nice to meet ya and I sure hope you can get your house sold soon.
