Default I'm new and I'm fat!

Hi everyone. I'm new and I'm fat. My goal for now is to lose 75 lbs.

I am not happy about it. I am dealing with a lot of emotions surrounding my weight; rejection, anger, depression, self-worth. I really hope this place will help me overcome those feelings and my weight. I look forward to meeting you all.

Ursula -

You know, none of us can at this point change where we're starting. The time where that might have been changed has passed. HOWEVER, we CAN change what we do from here.

In my experience, it is at best useless, and at worst destructive, to beat ourselves up over what is past. Your choice moving forward is to be the best you that you can be, or to not. It sounds like you're on your way to making the right choices! But I've been here a while...a LONG while...and I'll tell you that the people who succeed are those who let go of where they've BEEN and whatever mistakes they've made, and move forward. So I'd encourage you to try to do so.

We have lots of forums - by age range, by eating plan, etc. Look around, jump on in, and keep posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Welcome! I'm pretty new to the forum but it's been great so far. I've been inspired to really reach out because the support is out there, and it will help me reach my goals!

I used to think I'd have to really hate my body to want to change it, but I'm realizing that my weight goals are about loving myself! Good Luck!

And remember: every failure prepares you better for your next success!

Welcome Ursula, you've come to the right place for support. I think most of us that end up here have felt the same. You can do this!!! It won't be easy but with a commitment to do what is required YOU WILL reach your goals.

I just signed up today and hope all works well for me. I wish nothing but the best for you. Please regain your self worth back because that is what will help you get through this. I use to turn my rejections into postive and use it motivate me to do what I need to do. I've gotten my confidence back. Now I'm just waiting for the weight to keep dropping off to help me show off what people were missing out on. Meaning, a great person, friend, mother, supporter and motivater. Keep your head up!!!!

I am with everyone else in saying Welcome! I am also pretty new and already this site has given me so much. I agree that you need to let go of the old stuff and start new today. I am one who has had a habit in the past of beating myself up and it does nothing to help you help yourself. In fact it just makes you feel like you are not worth the effort. But you are!! I am!! We all are!! I look forward to seeing you on the boards! Good luck...we are all here for you!!!

Welcome to 3FC! Surf around and settle in. I think one of the most empowering things about this journey is that I really did have the ability to lose the weight all along. Best wishes to you!
