Introducing myself...
Hi everybody. I joined this site last week and thought I should introduce myself. I'm 29 (30 next month!), mother to my 17 month old daughter and wife to my husband of 9 years! I've been overweight my whole life and have always hated it. When I got pregnant with my daughter I was at my heaviest... 200 lbs. That's a lot of weight for my 5'3" body. I was really diligent about eating healthily while I was pregnant and only gained 13 lbs. (which my dr said was fine because of my high starting weight)
After I had my daughter I made a commitment to eating clean and I was down to 155. I haven't been very disciplined the last 5 months or so and I gained some weight back which was discouraging and a wake up call at the same time. Now I am 164. I still have 44 lbs to lose to meet my goal. I've recently started eating right and exercising everyday again and I feel great.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this site. I need encouragement, a swift kick in the pants at times and it's wonderful being around people who are in the same boat. I hope I can be an encouragement to you all as well.
