Default The New Newb!!!!

Hey, I'm Holls I stumbled across this site a while back but didn't really do anything, but started reading some threads again and decided to rejoin. Anyway, I just turned 21 and I don't want to go through the rest of my youth being overweight so, I'm finally going to do something about it. I'm 5'8 or and I'm 264 now was about 280 so I've lost a little already, but kind of fell of track so now I'm ready to be dedicated! I hope to get down to 160.

Anyway I've been overweight since late middle school, and just have gotten larger since then. Tend to eat when I'm bored, that was my main problem though I think I've gotten over that now since I've lost the bit of weight I have already. Which is why I know I can stick to eating healthier now.

I got up the courage to out and buy a swimsuit so I can start swimming everyday, since its a good exercise and works the whole body and something I won't die from (being out of shape sucks!)

I'm open to hearing what all of you are doing to help you lose weight. Look forward to meeting you all too!

Hey There! I'm Nelli. I am new, as of like, 20 minutes ago. I was always heavier than everyone else in my class. Then freshman year, I joined our school's swim team, and dropped weight like crazy. I got down to 170, which is the least i have weighed as far back as I can remember. My junior year I ballooned like crazy. Gaining 50 pounds in one year really took it's toll on my body. But i'm trying to change that. I just wanted to let you know that you are inspiration for me, knowing that i'm not alone.

p.s. if there's a gym near where you live try taking pilates. It's customizable to your own level, and is a great workout. also try ZUMBA! it's a latin dance aerobics class. sounds intimidating, but its so much fun and everyone looks like dorks and laughs at themselves.

Hey Lucky!

We have lots of spots you might want to check out. The 20-somethings is a group for those in that age range...we also have groups by amount to lose, like the 100 lb club, that are really helpful. Also, we have groups by eating plan, so look around.

Settle in, keep posting, and keep going. Can't wait to get to know you better!
