Unhappy I feel so defeated today :(

so, started sunday getting really serious w/ my calories and exercise

weighed on my scale on day 1 :189.5
today: 185.5

i thought that was really good.. UNTIL I went to the dr today to get checked out for a bladder infection (fun times).

well, not only do I have a bladder infection- THEIR SCALE SAID I WAS 192.5.

I'm so disugusted!! I weighed that at the beginning of January.

I never wanted to see that # again!

I know it's just the dr's scale and I know I had clothes on and I should focus on my scale and that, essentially, I've lost 7 lbs.

But, I just feel embarressed and ashamed and hated seeing that number again.

I felt like I was on a roll and even am wearing my size 14 jeans today (started as a 16).

please tell me I'm stupid. I just feel so let down.

aimee

p.s. I also had my uggs on and was fully clothed

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

One time, I weighed myself, and I had jeans on, took them off, and already lost a pound.

Clothes can really change your weight, and as long as you're really consistent with what you have on (or what you don't have on..) during weigh-ins then you'll be fine.

And since you'll be using your scale during your weight-loss, I would only worry about that number. Yes, the doctor's scale might have weighed you a little more, but you won't be going to the doctor every week to weigh-in, are you?

Weight-loss is weight-loss, no matter what scale you use. So, as long as your jeans are fitting looser and you've lost weight on your scale, then that's all that matters!

Yeah dont worry or feel bad about the Dr. scale.. I always weigh more when I get weighed at the dr. office. Thier scales are always different and like you said you had clothes on and shoes! That makes a big difference. Plus if it was in the middle of the day that adds too. I always weigh myself in the morning before I shower. Everyone is up a few pounds during the day just due to water or food intake..

Keep up the good work I think your doing great!!

Oh my! How awful for you!! You are not stupid, that must have been hard to see, but that number doesn't matter!

Only count what ONE scale says consistently! It is the trend that matters, not the precise number flashing back at you. You have lost what you have lost and you can keep going.

Feel better and stick with your program. It's working!!

First, i gotta say...What a beautiful puppy! NOw, c'mon girl! you're not stupid. don't let scales get in your way of losing weight. Dont let this get you down! you are already justifying it..now listen to what you're saying! Congratulations on your weight loss thus far! and good for you for joining! Ha..you can always go to my old dr who tells me that hypoglycemia is a fad disease, that im having seizures because of sibling rivalry, and told my sister that her thyroid doesnt affect her weight gain and that she's just fat! the point of that long wramble is dont worry, girl. keep your eye on your scale...and keep closer watch on how your clothes fit. sometimes the scale doenst reflect inches lost due to muscle gain! good luck!

I agree! I wouldnt worry about it because ugg are pretty heavy..I weighed myself with and without clothes and even though the clothes seemed light, it made a difference of 2-3 pounds! keep your head up and keep pushin!
