Default Halfway to Goal and Need Some Extre Oomph

Hi, my name is Lisa, I'm from North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I'm new here. I've always been heavy-ish, and I was constantly lamenting about being "fat" (170 lbs at 5"7") Little did I know that was positively svelte for me. Two pregnancies later I am a wiser, albeit, wider version of myself. At my peak, while pregnant I was 279 lbs. I started my weight loss journey a year ago at 255 lbs. I am now down to 200 and would like to get to around 160. I am seeing that light at the end of the tunnel but I seem to be running out of steam. The last thing I want to do is become complacent so I've joined in hopes of finding some support and motivation for the second-half of my weight-loss journey.

keep going! You're halfway there! Think of how much better you feel now than yu did at the begining and then think of that feeling times two when you're at your goal!

HALF WAY

DON'T STOP NOW YOU'VE HAD A GOOD WEIGHT LOSS SO FAR!!!! If you truely make a lifestyle change instead of being on a "diet" it is much easier to hang in there. I don't know what plan you are on, but you may be just looking at it the wrong way...We are all learning to eat what our bodies need instead of what we just want...it takes time and you seem to be well on your way....Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks for the support, just got back from bootcamp this morning, yay me and thank-god for childminding! I've always been a heavy (pardon the pun) exerciser... when I gained all the weight during pregnancy it slowed me down somewhat and it was a tough haul getting back at it. I'm back on track again with that, but it's a herculean effort trying to get done with a baby and a preschooler in tow! But day by day... we'll get there!

Congrats on your loss so far! Keep one keeping on!! Cause here's a secret---the behaviors must stick if you want to keep off what you have already lost, nevermind losing more. This is forever! And oh so worth it!

Come see us down in Maintainers. You don't have to be at goal to hang out there, you just have to want to not regain the weight back.
