Back and Bigger Than Ever
Well, to be fair I was only active for about 2 weeks here before I had a bit of a disaster in my life and I ate away my troubles over the holidays. Alas, that triggered a gain over several months from 145 lbs (right at the overweight limit for my height) to 155 lbs (definitely in the range).
A few weeks ago, after stepping on the scale and nearly weeping (because it's the heaviest I've ever been), I sat down and made some hard-core resolutions. Among them: At least 3 veggies and 2 fruits daily, limit junk food (chocolate, chips, other candy) to once a month, and lastly, bust my *** in the gym 4 days/week and walk 2 miles outdoors 2 days/week.
Amazingly, I, the person who has survived as a junk food vegetarian for years, have stuck to it for 2 weeks and some of the cravings and the weight have begun to fall away. I'm only down to 152 lbs (slow and steady), but on the treadmill at the gym today I managed to do a 14 minute mile, whereas two weeks ago I could only do a 15:30 minute mile.
I have hope. I'm determined not to end up like my grandma was or my aunt, and uncle are (morbidly obese with diabetes and heart problems).
I'm back with a vengeance ladies!
