Kelly

  • Hi, all! My name is Kelly. I'm 28 and have a 3 year old daugther named Lilah Eden-Diane. About 2.5 years ago, I started Weight Watchers and weighed 298 lbs.! About a year ago, I was down to 198 lbs.!!! Unfortunately, because of money, I had to stop attending the meetings, and I did gain about 15 lbs. back. I'm now going to a gym in my area that is only $20 a month. I go every morning during the week and on my lunch break. It's alreayd helping, plus I'm getting back on track with my Weight Watchers. I don't really have a goal weight, as much as I just want to be a size 12 (right now I'm a 16). I'm a big girl anyways (5'7" with a large frame), so I know I wouldn't look right if I were any smaller than about a size 10.

I struggled my whole life with my weight, and after I had Lilah, I was determined to lose the weight. Even being a chubby kid, I still got picked on for having parent that was heavy, which is my father. I always said that I would not allow my child to be picked on for having an overweight parent, and that what made me join Weight Watchers. Also, my dad has type 2 diabetes, and I don't want to end up with that, and I know that losing weight is the best way to avoid getting it.

I decided to join this website to help keep me inspired to lose the weight.
  • Welcome Kelly!!! Congrats on your weight loss so far! We have a busy WW forum and I think some of the ladies follow the plan at home, vs. going to meetings. We also have a very active 20 something forum. I love how you spelled "Lilah"---so pretty!

I'm glad you're here!! Come join us in maintainers!!
  • Kelly,

There's an exercise forum here, and you might like to check out any of the "challenge" threads, which can be found all over the boards. "Chat" threads are another great place to start getting to know some names and making friends here at 3FC. Glad you found us!
  • Welcome to 3FC Kelly!

$20 a month for a gym is a sweet deal - and it's awesome that you're so motivated!

I hope you share, post and stick around!
  • Welcome Kelly, and good luck!
