I was so excited about finding a place like this! I am 43 with 2 kids and a very busy life, I hope to put me first on this go round. I have read alot of the postings and appreciate that there are people just like me! It is not a new years resolution, it is a change of life for me! I need to lose 63 pounds to get to what my doctor considers a healthy weight for me. As everyone knows this is a very had thing to do, but I think with everyones help and stories on here I will be able to do this with less problems! I hope everyone has a wonderful new year and I hope to hear from other people who are in my position.

I'm new here too and I'm glad to see you found this site as well! Which part of Texas are you from? My sister-in-law currently lives in Houston and was here for the holidays, bragging about the warm weather there.

speaking of warm weather, today I walked the dogs in shorts and a tank top... oh and christmas too. XD
