Talking hey wanting to lose weight before moving.

im 16 years old, i've been wanting to lose weight nearly all my life, i think i was only skinny till i was 5 years old lol. i cant remember myself buying clothes that actually fit . i've tried herbal life. which actually made me lose weight at first and then gain it all back and more. i feel depressed from the way i look, its not only because im fat but a milion other stuff [like stretch marks, and having exesive hair growth in ereas i know it sounds disgusting]
im 185 lbs/84 kilos
and only 5"2' / 158 tall
i look like a human penguin hah. thats actually how people tease me.
i really want to be 114 lbs-123lbs/52-56 kilos.
but i dont know where to start.

theres a chance my family's gonna move to a diffirent COUNTRY. and i was thinking i really need to lose weight before that. so i can meet up with my longtime crush that ive been talking to for 2 years on the internet[met him through a classmate so no chance he's a pedophile heh] because if i dont i dont think ill ever meet him.
and as a fresh start in the new country.

ps: where do you get those sigs that show how much youve lost weight hah they're really neat.

Hi koukou! Welcome to 3FC!

I completely understand wanting to lose weight before you move! That's my plan - I'm a junior in high school right now and I'm determined to have reached my goal weight by the end of my senior year. I want to go off to college looking good!

So, where to start? We have a lot of different diet forums that you can look at and see if any of those sound like something you want to try, another thing most of us do, is just count how many calories we eat and try to keep that number within a healthy range! I've heard different counts for how many calories you should eat, but most of us, I think, eat between 1200 and 1500 when we're being good! Of course that'll be different for every person Where else to start? Check out our exercise forum and maybe get some new ideas...

Hi!
Congrats!
Two things you can do to get started right away--1) go for a ten minute walk. Do that once today, twice tomorrow and three times as many days a week as you manage after that.
2) Start writing down everything you eat and when you eat it. Write down roughly how much--was it a few fries or a plateful? That sort of thing. Write down how you felt.

Then, when you've enough data--maybe a weeks worth--figure out what triggers your overeating--see if you can substitute something else: coming here and writing, writing in a blog or journal, calling someone, etc.

If that's not happening much (that is you don't eat for emotional reasons) find one thing worth about 100 calories you can cut out for four days. When the first four days are over, pick something else. Meanwhile you'll be figuring out so many different things to help you lose the weight and keep it off.
Good luck.

oh--I don't think those tickers in the siggy are available until you've been here a while!
