Default newbie!

hey there!

i figured i'd start this out the right way and introduce myself to everyone and seek the support that i know i need in order to shed this weight. i've struggled with my weight and eating disorders for over ten years and i am DETERMINED to be lose weight and more importantly, get healthy! every few months i go through the same ritual of dieting for a week or two, getting frustrated, eating a pizza, and giving up. i want those habits to stop and really do this the right way. if anyone is looking for a support buddy, please let me know! good luck with your goals!

Congratulations on wanting to be healthier & lose a little weight in the process.

Even if you have pizza... there's no reason to say "The HECK with this." A person I admire on these boards has a saying. Let's say you're climbing up some stairs. You happen to slip a little on one of the stairs... do you then turn around and toss yourself down the rest of them simply because of one slip? It's silly and pointless to give up when going forward is what we really want to do.

We're human. We all slip up. The point is that if you stick around here you'll find a priceless resource of all the humans here that keep going regardless of how many slip ups happen.

Find a plan that fits your life. Work the plan. When you do slip-up, get immediately back to your new routine.

Best of success!

my issue is mainly getting the motivation to exercise. how often do all of you exercise and what do you do?

HI and welcome!! I can totally relate! I've had one bigger weight loss of 33lbs in my past, and i totally think that was partly due to being on a board similar to this! For many, myself included that seems to make a big difference. Since then i've had the same week or two of being "good" then I just fall off the horse We can do it this time though!! Good luck!!
