Why wait until the new year? There's never a better time than the present. That said, I don't agree with New Year's resolutions, I'm for life changes when you are ready.

I'm with Shannon. Why wait? The New Year is 5 weeks away ... that's 5 weeks that you could be building healthy habits.

The holidays are definitely a hard time to start any kind of diet, but there's nothing that says you can't take a few baby steps in the month of December - knocking out junk food, working on eating less, adding more veggies, exercising more, any number of things you can do w/out making the holidays too hard.

I'll be honest with you ... there will always be a lot going on in your life. There's always something - some reason that we can't do it NOW.

But it's not that hard to take a few healthy steps. And remember that whatever you do, however you choose to eat, if you want to keep the weight off, you'll have to be able to sustain that way of eating and exercise for the rest of your life - no matter what is going on in your life.

Obviously the choice is up to you.
