33 yr old wife and mom from SC

  • Hi! My name is Tracy. I am 33 years old from the Spartanburg area of South Carolina. I have been married almost 15 years to a wonderful man and have 2 beautiful sons, ages 13 and 8. I started the WW plan in September of 2007 and so far I have lost 110 pounds. I have at least 70 more pounds to go or so I think. I am 5'8" and my BMI says I should be below 164. Well, it has been years since I have been below 200 so I have no idea how I will be at that weight. We will see I guess!
I have been coming to this site off and on for years but I am mostly a lurker. I love this site and it has motivated me many times. I have decided to start posting because I am afraid of falling into a rut and need support. I have found myself "picking" at everything lately. I am taking bites of things alot and not counting them in my points. I think it is adding up because my weight has been at a stand still for weeks. So, starting now, I am going to journal every bite.
Sorry to ramble but I would love to get to know you all better. I will try my best to be a source of support as I seek the same!
  • Hi there Tracy!!!

I hit the 100lb mark using WW and have been having a bit of a struggling time right now. We can pull through it!!! We can do this!

Make sure that you start posting on over in the WW section

  • I'm new here to 3FC as well and I absolutely love this place and the people. I hope you make use of the endless information on here because, trust me, it is definitely worth it.
  • Hi Tracy and welcome to 3FC! We're glad you joined us. You will do so well on this site. You are definitely an inspiration and hopefully can teach as well while you learn. i would love to see you stick around and inspire others. And you've already lost the first 100 so you know the plan and even though its difficult at times you just have to stick to it and trod on. Good luck, I know you can do it.
  • Hi Tracy,

Congrats for the 110 pound weight loss so far, that is amazing!!

I guess when you are having off days, think back to what kept you going to lose the weight you have so far. You have gotten past the half way point now, its all downhill now
Plus just making some new diet buddies might help keep you going, as it is hard doing it by yourself, talking to other people that understand your struggles helps out. Or it helps me out anyways!

Good luck and I am here if you ever need to talk or vent!
  • Thanks for the welcome and the advice guys! I have got to get away from this Halloween chocolate!! I don't know what is wrong with me the last 2 weeks. I know that it is stopping NOW. I will not let myself undo all of the hard work that I have done! I look forward to giving and getting support here. I know I need it right now. I hope to lose 20 pounds by the new year. Wish me luck!
  • Hi Tracy.
    What a great accomplishment!
How did you lose the majority of your weight?
    I'm a semi lurker too.
