I am so happy to have found you! Need some believin' eyes and support. I've tried pretty much everything when it comes to weight loss....now I am going to try to lose by lovin' my body and the LOA! (law of attraction)
I started a blog...The Circle~Creative Weight Loss and am hoping that this gives me a creative outlet as it does seem that when my food is down and exercize is up, I need an outlet for the extra energy. I'm also doing The Artists Way and started writing morning pages and lost 15lbs....with writing and walking. Julia Cameron says that many people do lose weight when they do the Artists Way so she wrote another book called The Writers' Diet....which is basically writing morning pages and taking a daily walk.
In Chapter 8/9 she talks about U-turns in our life...things we tried and abandoned......it made me think of all my previous weight loss efforts. So here I am, making another U-turn! I think I will succeed as long as I never give up!
But this time, I want to make this as fun as possible. I want to make it as creative as possible. I'm tired of beating myself up, feeling guilty. I love The Biggest Loser but I must confess, that's not me.....I need an easy way, a gentle way, a fun way.
Well, we'll see....I'm taking it one day, one 0.1 lb at a time!
I need to learn to stay consistent and peristent.
I was hopin' that your support might help me with it.
Well, it's a long post.....sorry about that, but I wanted to state my intention.
Here, we tend to be VERY focused as a group on consistency, lifestyle changes, and not being too drastic - sounds like you'll fit right in! Congrats on your losses so far.
We have groups by eating plan, by age range, by amount to lose...so look around and find a spot or several, then settle in and get to posting.
Wow mandallin.....you are an inspiration....I took a peek at your collage! Our bodies are amazing! Give them what they want and need and they so lovingly respond!
