Smile Goodbye Thunder Thighs!

Hello everyone! I am here to say goodbye to the old me. I am tired of being fat. Tired of nothing fitting right. Tired of getting winded just walking up a flight of stairs. Most of all, tired of not feeling sexy anymore! So here I am. I started drinking more water and making better food choices 3 days ago. That same day I dug out my treadmill, dusted it off (literally), and about died after walking only 1/4 mile. I've kept at it and have lost a little over 2 pounds. I've always heard that the first few pounds are the easiest because of water weight, but I don't care...I'm excited! I ordered a WATP dvd off netflix because I've heard so many good things about it. I popped it in this morning, and at first thought I was wasting my time. Until about 10 minutes later when I was sweating like a pig. I did finish a 2 mile workout so YAY me! Now my legs are sore and I love it. Feels like I'm actually getting somewhere this time.

Now for the dirty part. I stepped on a scale for the first time in almost 3 years 3 days ago and about fainted. I mean, I know I'm fat, I just couldn't believe how much I had let myself go. I wanted to cry when it read 284.4 But I'm here and I'm ready to change! My ultimate goal is to get back to a size 12/14 (currently 22/24).

Little bit about me....I'm 28 and married to my highschool sweetheart. We have 3 kiddos and just moved to Louisiana from Texas due to his job. I stay at home with the kids and homeschool my oldest.

Welcome to the forum!

Don't let the numbers get to you, hon. The important thing is that you're making good choices and the scale is going down. You sound so enthusiastic ... keep it up!!
